The highlight the April 7, 2002 Carmel Classic Guitar Society mixer was a presentation about hand-crafting guitars. The featured speaker was Kenny Hill of Hill Guitar Company, and the talk was illustrated by a comprehensive set of Power Point slides prepared by Dr. Ronald Friedman.

Kenny provided wood samples, as well as parts of guitars at different stages of construction, for the audience to examine. This was an extremely interesting and informative presentation.

In addition to the guitar-making presentation, the mixer featured several guitarists performing classical compositions.
