In lieu of our normal program, we're having a barbecue for all present
and past members and friends of ACS to honor Harriet Mitteldorf for
her lifelong devotion to conservation of our natural environment. Harriet
has acted on conservation issues over a wide base, including saving
redwood trees, saving wilderness, saving shorelines, saving marine mammals,
and saving the oceans.
Menu includes chicken, tri-tip and veggie-burgers.
We provide water and
soft drinks. Bring your own plates, cups and flatware and beverages
other than water and soft drinks.
We're looking forward to this event and hoping we can reunite many old
friends and past ACS Board members. Children
are welcome.
There will be a raffle and drawing with exciting prizes.
Please RSVP to Jerry Loomis at 649-1249
or Carol Maehr at 373-3752 before July 15. This is very important,
to make sure we have enough food. Cost is $15 for ACS members,
$20 for non-members. Make your check out to ACS and mail it to ACS Monterey
Bay, PO Box HE, Pacific Grove, CA 93950.
Directions to Indian Village: Enter Pebble
Beach through the Pacific Grove gate on 17 Mile Drive (not Country Club
